Read in full, publishes no figure

27 named sources were read in full on the dates shown and print no usable figure. They are counted, never filled in.

Methodology

Every row is a verbatim sentence read from the named source's own page through our fetch service on the date shown, hash-pinned to the stored read (the sha of the page's visible text; the raw page is mirrored to R2).

10 of the 37 named sources that could be read published a usable figure; 27 published none and are recorded as not published, never filled in; 4 could not be read (blocked, dead or unreachable) and count nowhere.

The headline figures (median, minimum, maximum, quartiles) are over ONE figure per source for each breakdown it prices, in USD (a source's median where its page yielded several accepted sentences for one breakdown), so a page that gives figures for several breakdowns gives one for each and N counts 12 figures, never sentences; 190 candidate sentence(s) were refused by a reviewer with the reason recorded.

The fuller derivation this dataset is chartered to grow into (not yet what the figures above are; they are each source's own published figure as read): one row per Texas contractor per published price, normalised to a comparable unit: cost per pier by pier type (pressed concrete, drilled, steel push, helical), cost per whole job by foundation type (slab, pier and beam), and the pier COUNT each contractor says a typical house needs - which is the number that actually decides the bill and the number every quote hides.

Across the index we derive the median and spread per metro (the estate's own Texas price map: Houston against DFW against San Antonio against Austin against West Texas), the metro premium over the state median, the per-pier spread between the cheapest and dearest published price for the SAME pier type - on the first read that spread runs from about $300 to about $3,500 for work described identically - and the share of contractors who publish any price at all rather than routing to a free evaluation.

Repriced-since per contractor turns it into a series, which is what makes 'foundation repair cost in Texas' a page worth revisiting rather than a one-off guide.

190 candidate sentences on these pages were refused by a reviewer; each refusal and its reason is recorded in the review ledger.
